Acceptable Use Policy

Prohibited activity

These apply to every plan, including trials, and we enforce them.

• Sending marketing messages to people who have not opted in, where opt-in is required.
• Ignoring STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE or equivalent opt-out requests.
• Selling goods whose sale is illegal in the destination market.
• Attempting to access another workspace's data, by any means.
• Scanning, probing or load-testing our infrastructure without written permission.
• Reselling access without a partner agreement.

Messaging in particular

The messaging modules are the easiest way to get yourself into trouble, so they carry extra rules. Consent is checked before promotional sends. Quiet hours are respected in the recipient's timezone. Sender identifiers must be registered where the destination country requires it.

These are not preferences we impose for tidiness — sending unsolicited messages puts our carrier relationships at risk, which would affect every other customer.

Fair use of the API

Rate limits are published per plan. Staying inside them is fair use; deliberately routing around them is not. If you need more headroom, ask — raising a limit is usually a five-minute conversation, and considerably cheaper for both of us than a suspension.

Enforcement

For most breaches we contact you first and give you 14 days to fix the problem. For active abuse — ongoing spam, an attack on our infrastructure, or anything putting other customers at risk — we suspend immediately and explain afterwards.

Suspension is not deletion. Your data remains exportable throughout, because withholding it would punish your customers rather than you.
